Our Founding Family
The Swanson Family stands as a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of breaking generational curses. Our grandfather, James Swanson, a cotton picker with only a third-grade education, became a Husband, Father and Leader in his neighborhood, taking the youth on field trips and growing community apple trees. And our grandmother, Jeanette Swanson, a pillar of hard work and commitment, laid the foundation for a legacy of strength and service in the community.

Our roots run deep throughout Washington, DC— Wards 5,7, and 8 — where our family has continuously given back in meaningful ways. Through self-education, wealth-building, and unity, my siblings and I have risen as college graduates, leading our family from Projects to Palaces—where we rightfully belong.
We were raised in communities that thrived on unity, education, and collective care, where our grandparents ensured we knew our neighbors and every child was safe. Swanson Family Academy was born from this legacy—to educate, inspire, and restore the village that raised us, extending the same mindset of empowerment and togetherness back to our community.
